This page summarizes, in plain English, the limits of what SavvX is and is not. It is meant to be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
SavvX is an informational rewards optimization tool. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, lender, credit counselor, tax professional, or law firm. Nothing on the SavvX platform — including recommendations, rankings, point valuations, redemption coaching, signup-bonus math, retention scripts, or coaching alerts — is legal, tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making any material financial decision.
Card issuers — not SavvX — decide whether to approve an application, what credit limit to extend, what APR you receive, or whether you qualify for a signup bonus. We have no influence over those decisions, no inside information about issuer underwriting, and no ability to predict whether you will be approved for any card we recommend.
SavvX does not earn affiliate commissions, referral bounties, click-through fees, placement fees, or any other compensation from credit card issuers or card-comparison networks. We have no business relationship with any issuer. Our only revenue is your subscription fee. This is intentional and structural — it is what makes our recommendations independent. If we ever change this policy, we will say so clearly at the top of this page and notify subscribers in advance.
There is no advertising on the SavvX platform. We do not sell your transaction history, card list, balances, or any other personal or financial data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling commitment.
Our card catalog is built from public issuer pages, community-verified sources, and direct subscriber confirmations. We work hard to keep it accurate, but issuers change fees, earn rates, signup bonuses, transfer ratios, credits, and other terms without notice. We may be temporarily stale or wrong on any given field. Always verify the live terms on the issuer's own website before applying for or relying on a card. If you spot a discrepancy, please tell us at support@savvx.com.
The dollar values, point valuations, and "missed value" estimates shown in SavvX are informational projections based on published earn rates, our point-value model, and your historical spending. They are not a promise of future returns. The actual value you get depends on how you redeem your points, which partners you transfer to, award availability, devaluations, and your own purchase decisions. Past spending patterns do not guarantee future rewards.
The cents-per-point values we use for transferable currencies (e.g., Chase Ultimate Rewards, Amex Membership Rewards, Capital One miles, Citi ThankYou, Bilt) reflect our model of realistic average redemption value, not a market price. Reasonable people disagree about these numbers, and the right value for you depends on how you actually redeem. You can override our defaults in Settings.
We categorize transactions using a combination of Plaid's category data, your card issuer's merchant codes, our own merchant-categorizer pipeline, and your manual corrections. Miscategorizations happen — a transaction may be coded as "Dining" when the issuer treats it as "Other," or vice versa. If a categorization is wrong, you can correct it from the transaction in-app and the correction will improve future analysis.
Coaching alerts, fee-renewal reminders, devaluation warnings, and other SMS messages we send are informational only and depend on data that may be incomplete or delayed. They are not real-time financial advice, and you should not rely on them for time-sensitive decisions. SMS terms are described in the SMS Terms.
Any forecasts, projections, or "if you switch to X you would earn Y more" estimates are forward-looking statements based on currently available data and your historical patterns. Real-world outcomes will differ. We disclaim any obligation to update these estimates as conditions change, except as required by law.
SavvX integrates with Plaid (for transaction data), Stripe (for billing), and other third-party services described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or actions of those third parties. Your relationship with each card issuer, bank, or service is governed by that party's own terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SavvX and its content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. The full disclaimer of warranties and the limitation of liability are set out in the Terms of Service, which control any conflict.
You are the only person responsible for which credit cards you apply for, which cards you use at checkout, how you redeem points, how much you spend, whether you carry a balance, and the credit and financial consequences of those decisions. SavvX is a tool to make those decisions more informed — not a substitute for your own judgment or a professional adviser's.
